I’d steer clear of using household products. I use turtle interior cleaner (despite using mothers everywhere else). It leaves a matte finish and cleans well.

Cleaning dirt/grime or just sprucing things up? For just a wipe down, I use a damp microfiber cloth with no chemicals. For dirty stuff, I use Griots Garage interior cleaner and Mequiars “Natural Shing” protectant.

Brake cleaner is pretty effective... wouldn’t necessarily call it household though.

I use Gtechniq I2ab which is an all surface cleaner and anti bacterial.

But to be honest an ever do slightly damp microfibre will not do.

Wet it under a tap (sorry, U.S. faucets, or however it’s spelled) or dunk it into some water, then wring it out so it’s not so much damp but slightly cold to the touch then wipe over the area you want to clean and then follow with a dry microfibre cloth.

Ammonia free glass cleaner works well on anything glossy.

Probably not chicken. Microfiber cloth slightly damp would work well. I have some interior detail spray that cleans up well and doesn’t smell to offensive.

If you don’t want to buy anything just use a damp cloth. Add a bit of dish soap if you have some stubborn dirt to clean up. I would stay away from Windex or other house cleaners for this purpose. Some may damage the plastic.

soap and water. Don’t buy anything marketed for the intended purpose....soap and water. Woolite for light duty or simple green for heavy. Cut either 50/50 with water or even 75% water. Spray on and wipe off, or for heavy soil scrub with a soft bristle brush or super light duty scotch brite....or spray on a rag and wipe. Either way. Glass cleaner for silver/gloss black/wood trims to remedy streaking.

I do interior repairs, leather refinishing and cleaning what detail shops can’t/don’t. I use one soap for everything. No residue, no sheen, just clean. I clean everything I repair.

armor all cleaning wipes.

the cleaning wipes. only. Don’t use “protectant.” it doesn’t really protect anything and just makes everything slippery as hell.

I like Aerospace 303. But it may not be easy to find locally. I order mine from autogeek.net. You could just go to your local auto store and buy whatever is on sale (Meguiars, Armorall, etc).

Don’t use household cleaners (or chickens).

I like 303 https://www.amazon.com/303-30306-Aerospace-Protectant-Furniture/dp/B000XBCURW

It really cleans the plastic and leaves a nice finish without the grease and too much shine. Looks best after a day or two and doesn’t attract dust like some do.

Lasts a long time too and actually offers real protection.

Also suggested it. Body shop supply shops usually have it.

I was told very diluted Simple Green would work all around as a cleaner.

https://simplegreen.com/cleaning-tips/rooms/automotive/dashboard/

Like they said... always do a spot test for fading.

I personally use Chemical Guys Nonsense diluted 1:20 for stains or deeper cleaning, and keep an Inner Clean for routine wipedown.
